About Us
The High School Liaison executive team (HSL) is comprised of students pursuing their Bachelor of Commerce and are incredibly passionate about the Smith Commerce program. We are eager to share that passion with prospective applicants and incoming students. Our team is made up of students in all years of the program with diverse backgrounds and interests. We share our student experience and insights to prospective, incoming, and first-year students. We also offer mentorship opportunities to ease the transition process. We are here to answer any questions about the Smith Commerce Experience, about Queen’s University, and about Kingston.
Our Responsibilities
High School Liaison is an integral part of the Smith Commerce recruitment strategy. The executive team has two main functions: to promote Smith Commerce to prospective students at the Fall Preview Days, the March Break Open House, the Summer Orientation to Academics and Resources (SOAR) and the Ontario University Fair (OUF), and to help accepted students transition into the program by facilitating online communications, leading orientation days during the summer, and offering mentorship events held throughout the school year.
